What if a breakdown occurs?

All vehicles are covered by Drivy’s roadside assistance. In the event of a breakdown, you must contact the 24/7 assistance, and inform the owner as soon as possible.

Roadside assistance includes:

  • Breakdown service or towing the vehicle to the nearest garage.
  • Cover of returning home or continuing the journey, and accommodation for the passengers.

For Spain, Germany, Austria & Belgium

If you bought an excess reduction option, our assistance partner will also be able to provide you with a replacement vehicle.

NB: This option is only available for rentals booked after 10th September 2018.

For France

If you bought an excess reduction option, our assistance partner will also be able to provide you with a replacement vehicle.

NB: This option isn't available for utility vans and is only available for rentals booked after 2nd May 2018.

A €90 handling fee will apply. This fee must be paid by the owner if the vehicle was being used correctly before it broke down. If the breakdown was caused by incorrect use of the vehicle during the rental, you will be charge a 200€ handling fee.
