What should I do if I'm late to return the car?

In case of late return of the car, you have to warn the owner as soon as possible. If you know you will be late to give the car back, make a request to extend the rental, otherwise you will not be covered by our insurance. The insurance only covers you for the current half-day (till noon for rentals ending in the morning ; till midnight for rentals ending in the afternoon).

Your request can be approved or declined.

  • If the extension is approved: The amount of the rental will be automatically adjusted and you will benefit from the insurance coverage.

  • if the extension is declined, or the owner can't approve it: You'll have to return the vehicle at the date and hour originally planned.

If you return the vehicle later than expected, you'll owe late return compensation fees:

  • 5€ per hour up to 120€ for 24h late

  • 30€ of compensation fees for each additional day

You will also have to pay of the eventual additional days and adjustments for gas and distance. After the end of the half-day when the end of the rental was planned, you won't benefit from the insurance coverage and any damage on the vehicle would be completely on you.
